    Hi @Omnisci user,

if you are running 5.0+, and need to dump and restore single tables, please refer to this post

    https://community.omnisci.com/communities/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?GroupId=13&MessageKey=23a8ec50-09eb-405a-b05f-502dde489f35&CommunityKey=d06df790-8ca4-4e54-91a0-244af0228ddc&tab=digestviewer&ReturnUrl=%2fhome

5.0 is the first release to support this kind of dump.

    Hi @Omnisci user,

in 4.5 the only option to take a backup is to use copy command in omnisql, but it's gonna take a long time and a large chunk of memory depending on the number of rows/columns of the table.
You should upgrade to take advantage of the new features/enhancement

    Hi Nagulan Santhi ,

to take a full cold physical backup before an upgrade you have to follow those steps.

    1. Stop your omnisci server (e.g. service omnisci_server stop)
    2. Take a backup of catalog and data directories with OS commands (e.g. tar zcvf backup_omnisci_45.tar.gz /var/lib/omnisci/data)
