Popup function in line map

    Hi,

    I am currently doing cross-filtering between line map and time chart. However, it seems that there is something goes wrong in popup function. Every time I leave the mouse on the line, there is an error message shown in the console. Here is the screenshot.

    Is anyone know how to solve this?

    Hi @leo - can you give us any more information? Such as the structure of your data, what you have on the axes, what other charts you have on the dashboard, etc?

    Hi Eric,

    Thank you for your reply. My code is almost the same as the code in this link: https://github.com/omveda/forum_related/blob/master/exampleLinemap_timechart.js

    And I am doing cross-filtering between the line map and time chart. In the time chart, the x-axis is time, the y-axis is the count of it.

    The structure of data is provided below.

    Hi @Leo,

    I will try to recreate the problem and consult with the front-end engineer and get back to you.

    Hi @Leo,

    What version of the software are you using especially the mapd-connector?

    Hi Veda,

    Thank you for your reply. The frontend library I am using is basically the same as mapd-charting/package.json.

    Specifically,
    "@mapd/connector": "git://github.com/omnisci/mapd-connector.git#d81908b",
    "@mapd/crossfilter": "git://github.com/omnisci/mapd-crossfilter.git#9f57637"

    As for the server, I think is under the 4.4 version.

    Best,
    Leo

    Hi @Leo

    I have passed the info to the frontend team. I was working on a US natural gas production dataset along with US pipeline data which is represented as LINESTRING. In this dashboard which I created using mapd-charting, I am overlaying the linemap on top of the natural gas pointmap, and cross-filters with the time line chart and bar chart. In this example, I have no problem with the popups both with the linemap and the pointmap. This worked with version 4.4 and also continues to work with version 4.5.

    I will keep you posted.

    Hi Veda,

    Thanks for your information. But as you can see, I have provided all the information and I don't know why this happened.

    BTW, I have encountered a time range invalid error previously. I solved the problem by writing these two lines of code:
    timeChartBounds.minimum = new Date('2014-08-03 05:00 GMT')
    timeChartBounds.maximum = new Date('2014-08-03 12:00 GMT')

    However, I don't think this is the right solution. I think the time chart should detect the boundary automatically.

    Best,
    Leo

    Hi @Leo,

    My example of Linemap is not exactly the same scenario. I will create an identical chart and work with the frontend engineers if I see the same issue.
