Hi, I am trying to run mapd_jdbc_exmaple.py from /raidstorage/prod/mapd/samplecodes folder. I have copied the mapdjdbc-1.0-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar and mapd-1.0-SNAPSHOT-jar-with-dependencies.jar in the same folder. When I run python mapd_jdbc_example.py. I am getting import jaydebeapi. However, I think I would also need to install/configure thrift for this. I am using the MapD community edition AWS AMI in a p2.xlarge instance at EC2. Can you provide some guidelines about how to configure the MapD database or the AWS AMI so I can use these python scripts available in the SampleCode folder.
Thanks for your interest in MapD.
i think this blog https://www.mapd.com/blog/2017/02/28/using-python-to-execute-data-visualization-against-mapd-core/ should walk you through what you need.
